The highly dynamic use of new and changing technologies, new job profiles and permanent transformation call for continuous learning. Unlike traditional forms of knowledge transfer, modern VR/AR learning methods appeal to several senses at once. Studies have shown that the more senses are involved, the easier it is for a person to remember information. The assumption is circulating among educational experts that people are most likely to remember things when they see them, followed by things they hear or read. If a person sees and hears something simultaneously, and this is reinforced by realistic perceptions, the effect is immensely reinforced by the power of the emotions. VR/AR methods enable complex facts or products requiring explanation to be conveyed in a way that makes it easy to understand and remember them, and even try them out interactively. Mechatronics technicians, fitters and electronics engineers, for instance, can run through repair work virtually, and practice the steps needed to exchange or repair defective parts quickly and without error. Dangerous situations, for example in the chemical industry, can be simulated using virtual means, so that skilled workers are well prepared in the event of an emergency.
To this end, we use technologies from the computer and video games industry, also known as game engines. Game engines are freely programmable modules that enable just about any application to be depicted, With our software-independent concept, we stand for reliable advice and target-oriented implementation. We use all standard tools available on the market, concentrating in particular on the two leading applications on the market, Unity3D and Unreal. Do you want to know what virtual reality and augmented reality can really do in the industrial environment?

We help companies to establish modern learning methods for diverse applications, from product development and production to marketing/sales. The possibilities are virtually unlimited. Our video shows how VR/AR is already being used in the paint shop for training purposes: the car body painter is transported into a virtual paint shop in which he can practice the painting process using a real – but empty – paint sprayer.
„We were looking for a VR solution to train our painters in our new plant in Mexico so that they could manually repaint high-quality workpieces after a short training period. We reached out to the experts at Feynsinn with this task. Together with Feynsinn, the VR solution was developed as realistic as possible in an agile approach involving experienced painters. For this purpose, a real spray gun was modified in such a way that it was integrated into the system as a VR controller, giving the user a real feeling for painting. Within about 4 months we were able to use the VR application “Paintshop” and in this way make a substantial contribution to the start of production. We are thrilled! The application exactly meets our expectations and helps us to control the high fluctuation. The painters can practice virtually at any time and at the same time conserve resources, their own health and the environment. Great Job, Feynsinn!” Dr. M. Schichtel, Group IT, BMW München
